Has anyone tried out this online game yet?  I've just found it... could be interesting!

I logged in and moved between the buildings a bit.  Interface seemed ok except I had no idea what else to do.   I would have to spend some time reading the FAQ and/or wiki for the game.  Not sure when I will get to that but hopefully sometime in the next month or so.

I'm doing much of the same.  I'm playing a military medic, roaming around aimlessly as well.  I've only punched a zombie ONE time.  I used up my pistol without hitting anything.

Ah, well... the interface is interesting.  It resembles Overkill in some ways.  Playing within a web browser is neat, too.

Am I the only one that finds playing these games in a web browser annyoing?  A java client or something is fine, but the page reloads are just too much.

It must depend on your connection. I run a 5Meg down 1Meg up and when I clicked on a building if I blinked I would miss the page load.

This is another fun web based game that I played a lot back in the mid 90s.  I quit playing in 97 or 98 but it still seems to be alive and kicking.

I'm still playing Urban Dead.  I've turned into a zombie and am gaining skills from their skill tree.  The progress is slow.  I have another character (which is legal as long as you play completely separately) which I'm trying to keep Human.  It's much harder as a Human and to gain experience.

It seemed a little too slow paced for me and I didn't have the patience at the time to read the manual and really understand what I was supposed to be doing.

I've maxed out my Zombie creature now.  I have another character playing as non-dead, a survivor, and he's getting close to being maxed out (meaning, all skills acquired).  It's more fun to play as a zombie, I feel, because the ultimate goal would be to wipe out all survivors -- survivors can never destroy all the zombies because they simply revive as the undead.

If you haven't played yet, join in for a few rounds.  It's a slow start to get some skills, but first go for anything that will increase your combat ability.  Once you reach 100 experience points, buy skills that will help you hit when fighting.

I gave it a shot, but going up to one zombie and getting wasted after emptying a clip into it took the fun out of the game
