Sadly the enormous effort is really just finding enough free time to work on it.  Unfortunately this month is slated for moving. Sad

Sweet!  Nothing like moving features from OOIS to OOII!!!     That is what you meant........right?

Sorry I didn't see your post until Sat night!  I got in game but didn't see you on.  I'll be logged in for a little while...it'd be fun to test out the chat feature some more!  If only we had pvp & stealing!
6  Operation: Overkill BBS Door Game / Bugs and Annoyances / Re: Hydrite Heads on: February 03, 2006, 02:54:41 am
It'd be nice if we could write "Hydrites Suck" on the side of the base too, so if they happen to walk by they'll know we don't like them!
7  Operation: Overkill BBS Door Game / Recruit Chat / OOII for Windows on the way! on: January 23, 2006, 10:17:16 pm
Hurray!  Smiley  Nice work!  I can't wait to see it in action!
8  Operation: Overkill BBS Door Game / Recruit Chat / Greetings... on: January 22, 2006, 03:01:44 pm
*phew* I tried holding my breath for that entire post, but I couldn't.    was a great story--glad to see you're having another go of the BBS!  One thing that might help is to post what domain you're using...that way people can check it out!  Far as I know Tarix isn't taking money for registrations but I'm sure he'd like donations for his awesome OOIS project [which essentially updates the OOII code and makes it run really smoooth]!

Good luck w/the BBS Smiley

Unfortunately I'm putting most of my effort into finishing up the 1.30 changes, testing the Win32 port, and working towards the Linux port.

Do you have a change list / what's new for 1.30?  Or were you referring to the Win32 port?

Keeping pascal code running is kind of a bitch because the libraries aren't that standard.    Porting it to Virtual Pascal and Free Pascal is uncovering a few ancient bugs though.

Mmm I like the idea of coding on OOIS better Cheesy

Wowwww, that is so badass.

I entered a couple bugs. Cheesy This rocks.

You can say that again!  My bugs are being acknowleged!   8O  Is it possible we might see some bug fixes + new features for OOIS??:?:
12  Operation: Overkill BBS Door Game / Bugs and Annoyances / Graphics bugs on: October 25, 2005, 11:57:59 pm
It's due to the terminal emulation.  Sadly most telnet clients do not support ANSI BBS.  First of all, try mtelnet, you can download it here:

http://ozone.eesc.com/

Secondly, I'm not positive but your linux client might work.  Try setting your emulation:

export TERM=ansi
or
export TERM=vt100

That's the command for bash.  I'm having problems connecting, so I can't test it at the moment.

Hey nice work on the Beta!  Does this mean there's a working OOIIEDIT around the corner?   Cheesy  It'd come in handy for some OOII <-> OOIS testing.

Oh and Mad Dwarf--thanx for that thumper, I'll be sure to return the favor--just as soon as I figure out a way to fit my bed in the detox chamber...   :x

Jeez, now you want to cheat too!  I personally think that using EDITOOII should lock the game into local-mode only.

Still, being able to use it would be cool!  When you going to add it to the downloads section?
15  Operation: Overkill BBS Door Game / Recruit Chat / EDITOO ? on: November 18, 2004, 06:29:01 am
Dirk,

Are you using 1.20?  If so, try this Registration code:

BBS Name: OVERKILL
Reg Code: 75777899

It's one that Tarix generated and posted in a diff subforum.  If I remember right EDITOO works with that, but I'll double check my local install when I get home:!:
