Last night and again today the machine that runs the 3 overkill games seems to be generating some serious lag.  Is something else running on this machine?  Is this machine a personal use computer where somone using  it locally could be causing the lag?  No one else was logged in when I experienced the lag.  It is the same type of lag I experienced in the AFB a few weeks back.

The lag is so bad I have time to type this while I wait for the screen to refresh. Sad

The Overkill machine was essentially lag free tonight.  I would like to know what was causing the lag the past few days.  My guess is that something else is running on the machine causing it to give priority to elsewhere.  What is the status of this machine?  Does it get work/home use or is it just a box dedicated to the BBS only?  Is something going on in local mode that we can't see when we view who is currently connected?

It's a dual pentium machine running only the BBS software.

Dedicated to you with love.

If you get lag you can traceroute to the BBS and get an idea of where its happening.

I can promise it isn't at the machine level though.  You can have players in all three games and it doesn't even get to 50% CPU.
