I recently set a game of OOII up and have been experiencing problems with the oonode.dat file sticking when a user drops carrier, or something related.

I've created a fix, that removes the file if a user is not in the game, but it's still annoying.  Has anyone else ran into this problem, and is there any good way to alleviate it?

I run OOII under DOSemu in linux, and I doubt many others do..

I rewrote this for v1.21 so it'll be fixed in the next release.  If it's happening when users drop carrier then you should check your setup.  It's probably terminating the game without giving it a chance to clean up properly.

So the stuck OONODE.DAT is probably a symptom of a larger problem.
